44th Year Reunion

FB post by Thelma on March 7th, 2023.

We were initially 25 in the NSDB- PNC Project 7405ed (Mathematics group): 17 girls and 8 boys. One discontinued studying with us. We surely missed Tet, Arnel, Emma, Robert and Evelyn who died before and after the pandemic, making us 19 in number.

We surely missed Noe and Emil who missed their flight to the Philippines. We dont know the whereabouts of Myrna who married her German penpal.

Nice to see 16 of us together on our 44th Anniversary Reunion especially my bff Amy Guce, and Loren Abaño. Amy is a successful mother and CPA from Lipa City. Loren who came all the way from La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, has retired from teaching and has remained the same sweet and charming lady…. she has become an outstanding singer.

Our batch of mathematics lovers is truly blessed because of Sr Magda Larcia, one of the pillars of the Canossian Sisters congregation. And she will be truly blessed because of our donations to their projects.

Nice to see our bunso, Neneth, our ever-sweet bunso na pacommute, commute lang sa US at sa Pilipinas.

Alice, the Principal from Pangasinan will always be the ever-reliable Alice, nagretire na rin at papasyal pasyal sa Lucena City.

And there is the beautiful Helen who remained beautiful inside and out.

Nice to see Ruel……was not able to thank him enough for visiting me in 2016 when he was Vice-President of LandBank of the Philippines for South Luzon…. so proud of Ruel and was proud to say na “kaklase ko yan!” sa LBP Gumaca.

Thanks Salvador, Badong, our class international pilot, for taking the three of us Amy, Loren and me plus Ruel to Music 21 in Pasig. Sayang at di niya mapalipad ang kanyang sasakyan dahil sa traffic.

And of course, there is the very active Amelia Oli-Macogay, our class choreographer mapakantahan, sayawan o sabayang pagbigkas man. Thanks dear Amee for bringing Olga and Danny Esguerra to their hotel, and bringing me to Filinvest door to door. Saan ba mas madaling magdrive, sa US o sa Pinas? Such great teamwork she has with husband Melvin.

A billion thanks !!!

Amy Guce:

Thank you mare for the sweet bonding moments! Ang galing nga pala kumanta ni Loren.😍 I really miss you & all our classmates at PNC (now PNU). 🥰

Sr Magda:

Thanks, Thelma, for the complete and fond musings on our batch. Ang galing mo. Now ko lang nabasa ito. Maraming salamat sa lahat at sa aming project pala ang donation. God has blessed us all through these 44 years. Our reunion last March 6th was really fun and memorable. Salamat ulit.
